A very enjoyable read, short and sweet. Completed the book over two afternoons on my porch while smoking a pipe. While it almost seems comedic to speak of christian pipe smoking the booklet is a fine example of the in-depth below the surface analysis of the virtues of such common activities, this kind of thinking could be applied to much more than pipe smoking to fully understand how we can bring glory to God and good to our fellow man in every activity we do. The booklet is wisely light on the typical questions about Christians smoking pipe tobacco which focus on health studies or poor application of 1 Corinthians 6, instead it analyzes the virtues and merits of pipe smoking; does it draw brethren together in fellowship, or seclude us in isolation? Does it enhance conservation and a good temperament or make us miserable company? Does it increase love, joy, and peace or does it squelch these things? The answers offered gave me further enjoyment of already favorite activity and some good conversation topics. The only drawback is that I wish this was published as a small paperback or even hard cover, it would make a great table book or book to display near your humidor or jars of tobacco. The end of the book has a wonderful collection of poems and quotes about pipe smoking which are very enjoyable.Product details

Although a short read, this book proclaims the joys of pipe smoking in a profound manner that anyone should understand. This would make a great gift to anyone new to the art of pipe smoking.
Be forewarned, this is a glimpse into a book that should be written, an introduction to a future timeless classic. The twenty-something pages are far too few to satisfy most readers. In fact, I could not even finish the pipe I had started before this introduction to Holy Incense came to an abrupt end. I especially enjoyed the appendices with the various quotes related to pipe smoking. An enjoyable albeit far too brief of a read, still I highly recommend.
This is an enjoyable romp through the wisdom and importance of enjoying the good gifts which or Loving Father has given us. Read and enjoy the great love with which He has loved us.
Being a Catholic Deacon and a pipe smoker, the title really caught my attention. Being very busy, its short length was also attractive for a booklet of this type. It's not a scientific journal, but one based on reasonable, broad generalizations that are probably quite accurate. Very enjoyable!
I consider pipe smoking a spiritual moment in my day. I thoroughly enjoy reading and smoking, praying, lunting, or simply enjoying the fragrance. This book is an excellent work and a well thought out piece on this heavenly practice. I would recommend to any that seek to light the briar
Mr. Brito and Mr. Swait have really given our little niche group a jewel with this work. This is the perfect sized little book to last through a pipe and a welcome companion. The beginning of the book is a treatise to come and consider this hobby as a meditative practice. A meditative practice that will inevitability draw one into a worshipful mindset. The latter part of the book is a collection of quotes and poems that the reader will find themselves referencing time and again. Great work gentlemen.
The thing I found worth a dollar was all of the citations which I am sure will lead me on to further reading. I felt like the title was not readily represented in the body, mostly it extols pipe smoking, copies a large part of another work, and then inserts some biblical musings to meet the titles requirement.
